This souvenir pennant is from the 1950’s and was sold at ballparks where the Cleveland Tigers played. The penannt was obtained from former Negro Leaguer Ozzie Tidmore (Kansas City Monarchs) who played semipro baseball in Cleveland for the Cleveland Dodgers and Cleveland Tigers.
During the 1940’s and 1950’s, pennants and team pins were probably the most popular souvenirs fans could buy at the ballpark to support their team.
The Cleveland Tigers of the 1950's were named after the Cleveland Tigers who had played in the Negro National League in 1928.
