The Giles Giants won the Colored Industrial League Championship of Chicago and were awarded this trophy in 1927.
The Giles Giants were one of the top semipro teams in the Great Lakes region during the 1920’s and 1930’s. Based out of Chicago, Illinois they played mainly an independent schedule. The Giants like most other independent teams would also play in local leagues whenever the opportunity presented itself. The Chicago Colored Industrial League was one of the most highly competitive industrial leagues in the United States.
