John Marshall was a Buffalo Soldier who was stationed at Fort Huachuca, Arizona in the early 1940’s. This glove was given to John by his father when he graduated from high school in 1937. Marshall was from St. Clairsville, Ohio. John joined the U.S Army and was assigned to the Buffalo Soldiers. He took his baseball glove with him and used it in games that he played as a member of the Buffalo Soldiers baseball team. Marshall was a pitcher during his baseball career.
Marshall served with the Buffalo Soldiers in Fort Huachuca, Arizona in the early 1940’s. He was part of Calvary Company M of the Buffalo Soldiers.
