Quincy Trouppe  Most Valuable Player Award (1948-1949)


Quincy Trouppe won this award during the 1948-1949 season in Latin America. This award was given to Trouppe when he led the Caguas Criolles to the Puerto Rican Winter League championship.

During the twelve seasons that he played ball in Latin America, Trouppe consistently hit over .300 and made six all-star teams.


This trophy was obtained by the Center for Negro League Baseball Research directly from Quincy Trouppe’s son. According to his son this trophy was from the Mexican League.
